Mandala & Peace Sign Art

The Peace Sign, alternatively known as the nuclear disarmament symbol, has been used in various cultures. This series began with the creation of an angel against a sunflower, the National flower of Ukraine. A mandala in art is a geometric set of patterns, colors, and shapes, most often presented in a circle, but can also appear as a square. Mandalas come in many decorative forms and can express anything from spiritual ideas to a harmonious placement of decorative elements. The patterns emanate from the center of the mandala. Traditionally they are painted on scrolls and accompany travelers over long distances across the Eurasian continent.
